Daylight saving

This Sunday is daylight saving

Daylight saving starts on the last Sunday in September

It started in 1927  in nz 

It was to give farmers an extra hour of light each day so they in the dark. It saves power 

in Australia Queensland and WA don't have daylight saving

  • go to sleep early
  • change your clocks

WW1



What do you already know about WW1? It was the first war.

Do you know of any family members that served in the military at this time? No.

Do you think schooling changed due to the war? Yes. Students started doing military training at school.

What symbols of WW1 are seen today? We use war memorials to remember our soldiers who fought in the war. The red poppy that is seen around ANZAC day.
